Adopt Me: Ruby has a sweet purrsonality (adopted)

She would like a home where she is the only pet

TimminsToday, in partnership with the Timmins and District Humane Society and the Northern Ontario Animal Welfare Society, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

(Northern Ontario Animal Welfare Society)

Meet Ruby, an eight-year-old declawed (in front) female looking for her forever home.

Last year Ruby was separated from her brother for the first time when he was surrendered to NOAWS before she was. It was an adjustment for her and as a result of never knowing any other animals in her eight years, a no-animal home is her preference.

She has a sweet personality and loves to be talked to. She’s not a fan of being picked up and okay with little petting but when she’s looking for some lovin’ she will show her affection with a rub against you, licking your arm, and purring ever so loudly.

She enjoys high places to perch, sitting in the window, and doing her own thing, ideally out of the reach of little children.

If you have a quiet, no-animal and no-kid home to offer Ruby, she would be your companion for life. Please apply at or email for more info.
