(Humane Society)

Hi everyone, pleased to meet you! My name is Basil, but I keep getting referred to as a “pug medley”. I recently came into the Timmins & District Humane Society as an owner surrender because unfortunately, my family could no longer care for me.

While I’m saddened by this, I’m also ready to make brand new friends and go on new adventures. At only three years of age, I’ve still got a long and exciting life ahead of me, so I’m ready to begin my next chapter – with YOU!

Betcha can’t resist my ridiculously cute and super unique little face. I’m a super sweet, attentive, and energetic boy. At 29 pounds, I’ll be the best medium-size dog for a lucky adopter.

I’m the perfect little guy for an individual, couple, or large family that wants to skip that hectic puppy stage since I’m already house trained and listen well. Like most dogs, I’m especially treat motivated; I LOVE treats.

As for my minor quirks, I’m a bit leery of new people, but I’m really affectionate once I get to know you, and I bond very quickly. I consider myself more of a “people dog” because I love humans, and I would prefer a home without cats. That being said, I do get along with dogs after a fair introduction.

Please come to the shelter to let my funny, little face put a smile on yours! I promise I’ll be a great addition to your family.
