There's an opportunity to hear more from the local candidates in the federal election this week.
The Timmins Chamber of Commerce is hosting a virtual federal candidates debate on Thursday, Sept. 9 at 3 p.m. People can watch it live on Facebook and TimminsToday will also carry the live stream.
The debate is a chance for chamber members and the business community to ask questions and hear how the candidates plan to support the northern business community. Questions will be accepted during the live feed on Facebook.
The candidates in Timmins-James Bay are NDP Charlie Angus, Liberal Steve Black, Conservative Morgan Ellerton, and PPC Stephen MacLeod.
Election day is Sept. 20. Advance polls are being held this week and run from Friday, Sept. 10 to Monday, Sept. 13.
