BARRIE - The Rolling Stones show will go on, afterall.
In May, the Stones announced their No Filter tour was being postponed because their lead singer, Mick Jagger, required heart valve surgery.
We are delighted to announce the new US and Canada tour dates today! All of the cities from the previously postponed shows are locked in, starting at Soldier Field in Chicago on June 21st and including a brand new date in New Orleans! https://t.co/019DDP3ZA8 #StonesNoFilter pic.twitter.com/0C3R5rNfOX— The Rolling Stones (@RollingStones) 16 May 2019
The iconic band announced this morning that Jagger is recovered and the concert will be staged at Burl's Creek Park on June 29 - the originally scheduled date.
It is the lone Canadian date on the Stones' North American tour.
Close to 70,000 fans of the legendary band purchased tickets for the show in the days after the concert was announced in February.
Those who purchased tickets were urged to keep them for use when the show was re-scheduled.
However, according to Burl's Creek officials, there are tickets available for the show. They are available on Ticketmaster.
No other information has been released.
