Over $6K worth of suspected drugs, $35K in currency seized following search warrant

The Timmins Police Service – Criminal Investigations Division has charged five persons with a number of Criminal Code and Drug Possession offences stemming from the execution of a search warrant at a Spruce Street South apartment in Timmins on Monday, Oct. 26.

Based on ongoing break and enter investigations conducted by the Criminal Investigations Division of the Timmins Police Service, and working in conjunction with platoon officers, a search warrant was executed allowing entry into one of the apartments of a multi-unit dwelling

As a result, the following exhibits were located and seized as evidence:

  • 35.4 grams of crack cocaine
  • 4.9 grams of fentanyl
  • 12 methamphetamine tablets
  • Cell phones
  • A loaded prohibited 9mm handgun with a 12 round magazine
  • 9mm ammunition
  • Varied drug paraphernalia
  • Identification cards with belonging to third party
  • Ontario Identification card bearing a fictitious name
  • Over $35,000 in Canadian currency in various denominations

The total estimated value of the seized drugs is $6,540.

As a result of the incident, Khalil Clarke, 24, of no fixed address; Eron Rochester, 23, of Toronto, Felicia Nakogee, 33, of Timmins, Brianne Richard, 32, of Timmins, and Harold Nakogee, 31, of Timmins have been charged respectively with:

  • three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada 
  • Careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada 
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

Harold Nakogee is charged with an additional count of:

  • Possession of firearm contrary to prohibition order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Breach probation contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

Felicia Nakogee is charged with an additional count of:

  • Possession of firearm contrary to prohibition order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

Brianne Rickard is charged with an additional count of:

  • Breach probation contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

Eron Rochester and Khalil Clarke are charged with additional counts of:

  • Obstruct police officer contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

Lastly, Eron Rochester is charged with additional counts of:

  • Public mischief contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Identity theft contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Identity fraud contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Possess identity documents contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Drawing document without authority contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Counterfeiting marks contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

All of the above remain in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the respective charges laid against them..
