OPP investigating crash that closed Highway 11 (update: open)

The South Porcupine Detachment of the Ontairo Provincia Police report the highway was reopened at about 4 p.m.

SOUTH PORCUPINE – Members of the South Porcupine Detachment of the Ontario Police (OPP) were called to the scene of a motor vehicle collision that occurred on Highway 11, Playfair Township, at approximately at 7:23 a.m. on July 31, 2015.

The collision involved a northbound tractor trailer and a southbound passenger vehicle. 

Matheson Black-River Township Fire Department and Cochrane District Emergency Services (CDMS) also attended the scene.

The driver of the passenger vehicle, Sarah Seaton, 28, of Englehart, was transported to a local hospital where she remains receiving treatment for her injuries. 

The driver of the tractor trailer, Grant Logan, 53, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, was treated at the hospital for minor injuries.

Highway 11 is closed in both directions. 

Drivers may detour through Timmins or Val Gagne Road, and there is no estimated time of re-opening.

The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are assisting with this ongoing investigation.
