Sault Ste. Marie MP Bryan Hayes appears to be preparing for an imminent federal election.

Moments ago, SooToday's newsroom received an e-mail from Jody Taylor, Hayes' executive assistant, with the subject, 'Dissolution of Parliament'.

In the email, which was also copied to our advertising sales department, Taylor asks that we prepare to remove ads from our site in the event of an election.

Here's what Taylor sent us:

"Please accept this e-mail as notification that in the event Prime Minister Stephen Harper makes the formal request to dissolve Parliament and calls the election early, all advertising appearing on SooToday and Local 2 that was paid for by the House of Commons through the office of MP Bryan Hayes must be immediately removed from the Village Media websites. Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation."

Parliament has not yet been dissolved but, according to an article published today in the Huffington Post, it could be dissolved as early as Sunday to call a federal election.
