The Timmins Police Service, in conjunction with the Ontario Special Investigations Unit is continuing its investigation into the motor vehicle collision that occurred at Sandy Falls Road and Shirley Street on May 18, 2015.
At approximately 8 p.m., police responded to reports of an MVC, in which one vehicle struck another vehicle.
Following the MVC, the driver and passenger of one vehicle were transported to hospital with serious injuries.
The 17-year-old passenger continues to recover, while the 18-year-old driver succumbed to his injuries during the early morning hours of May 19, 2015.
At this time, the Timmins Police Service is seeking a witness who stopped at the scene immediately following the collision, but left the scene shortly thereafter. Police are looking to speak to the driver of a vehicle described as a white SUV.
The driver of the vehicle in question, or anyone else having information about this incident is asked to contact the Timmins Police Service at 705-264-1201.
