CAISEE POPULAIRE DE TIMMINS

On March 24, 2015, La caisse populaire de Timmins limitée held its 74th annual general meeting at the Centre culturel La Ronde.
The 93 members who attended the meeting were able to note the excellent financial health of their Caisse.
In fact, our financial institution had an increase in assets now totalling $232,649,096 and a profit of $2,773,931 before tax and after distributing $ 600,000 in dividends to its members.
The total amount of dividends distributed to members is $3,200,000 in the past six years.
The Caisse is very proud to play a cooperative role within the communities of Timmins, Iroquois Falls and Val Gagné.
This is why during each annual meeting, the Caisse contributes by having a $1,000 community draw.
The winner of that special draw must donate the funds to a non-profit organisation and in turn benefits from a receipt for income tax purposes.
This draw has two winners, which fits well within the vision of the Caisse populaire.
This year’s winner is Mr. Laurent Rivard.
He chose to donate the money to St. Dominique Parish.
The Caisse wishes to acknowledge the support of its members because thanks to them, the Caisse continues to prosper.
