The chief of the Timmins Police Service is scheduled to face a four-day hearing in March on Police Service Act allegations against him.

Hearing dates for Chief John Gauthier spanning four days from March 30 to April 2 were posted to the Ontario Civilian Police Commission website today.

The location of the hearing is listed as to be decided.

A notice of hearing alleges Gauthier withdrew or caused to be withdrawn two 'certificates of offence' issued by a TPS officer to a member of Timmins city council.

Gauthier issued a statement earlier this month declining comment while the allegations are before the OCPC.

Motions in the case are scheduled to be heard on February 5 in Toronto.
