On the advice of counsel I will not comment directly on the Police Services Act matters which are currently before the Ontario Civilian Police Commission.

I can, however, understand the concern that has been created for members of the community.

I can assure residents that the issues currently before the Ontario Civilian Police Commission will be addressed in due course.

I can confirm that for the men and women of the Timmins Police Service, it is business as usual.

As always, the Timmins Police Service remains committed to the safety and security of our residents.

Any questions with respect to the specifics of the matter may be directed toward my counsel, Ian Johnstone.
