Freezing rain possible Sunday.
Significant rain Sunday night and Monday in most places.
A warm front approaching from the southwest will spread showers into Northeastern Ontario Sunday. There is the risk of brief freezing rain in the White River, Chapleau - Gogama, and Kirkland Lake - New Liskeard regions at the onset of the showers Sunday morning.
Further north, over the Timmins, Kapuskasing and Little Abitibi areas there will be a better chance for a period of freezing rain late Sunday morning or in the afternoon,
Periods of rain will affect Northeastern Ontario Sunday night and Monday. Rainfall amounts near 20 mm are expected in most places with some higher amounts quite possible.
Meanwhile, in Northwestern Ontario, the Gull Bay area is expected to see some freezing rain Sunday as well. However, freezing rain in Gull Bay will change back to snow Sunday.
Please be advised that a winter storm warning has been posted for a swath of regions from Lake Nipigon to the Fraserdale area.
Environment Canada will monitor this situation closely. Freezing rain and rainfall warnings may be required for some places as the situation continues to develop.
