On June 28, 2014, members of the Cochrane Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) initiated an investigation after responding to a two vehicle collision between a three wheeled All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) and an off road dirt bike on Concession 2 & 3 Road in Glackmeyer Twp, near Cochrane, Ontario.

Subsequent to the collision, two male drivers in their early twenties from Cochrane, Ontario were airlifted to hospital with life threatening injuries.

Since then, the dirt bike driver has been released from hospital as the other 23 year old driver remains hospitalized recovering from his injuries. 

As a result of the three and a half month ongoing investigation, the 22 year old dirt bike driver Bobby LALANDE-KOOPS has been arrested and charged contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada with one count of drive while ability impaired causing bodily harm.

The accused has been released from police custody and is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cochrane on December 9, 2014.
