TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE

*************************
On October 20, 2014, officers from the Timmins Police Service’s Drug Enforcement unit executed a search warrant at a residence in South Porcupine.

As a result of the search warrant, police seized approximately 465 methamphetamine tablets, approximately two ounces of cannabis marijuana and approximately $1500 in Canadian currency.

Due to the close proximity of the residence to an elementary school, mandatory minimum sentencing could be invoked if the accused persons are found guilty in court.

Charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime are Jeffrey DIONNE, 40, of Timmins, and Rosemary DIONNE, 37, of Timmins.

Both individuals were released on a Promise to Appear in court.

Their court date is scheduled for December 2, 2014.
