While the time has come again for the Lund AYA Tournament brought to you by Lund Boats and Guiho Saw Sales & Marine Ltd.
This is the fifth year that Guiho Saw Sales & Marine Ltd will be hosting this event.
The Angler Young Angler Fishing Tournaments began in 1998, to enable youth the opportunity to fish in a competitive style tournament.
AYA was one of the first organizations to offer this current tournament format catering to young anglers and adult.
The main objective is to introduce and educate young angler to competitive sport fishing in a fun environment surrounded by family and friends while creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Each team in the tournaments consist of one angler and two young anglers ages 17 and under.
Every team will have a fantastic day complete with a day of fun fishing, an official weigh-in, prizes, awards and a barbeque.
No one will leave this event empty-handed.
The winner of our Regional event will qualify for the opportunity to participate in the International Championship in August.
The success of the AYA Tournaments has lead to the expansion into North America.
The Angler Young Angler Fishing Tournaments continue to grow with twenty Regional Events this year as well as the International Championship held on August 23 at beautiful Lake Of The Woods in Kenora, ON.
This year the tournament will be held on Saturday, July 19 at the Cache Campground.
There will be several Prizes, as of right now we are giving away:
1st Place – 2014 Lund A12 Boat, 2014 Mercury 5HP 4 Stroke Engine, and a 2014 Shorlander Trailer
2nd Place – 2014 Suzuki DF2.5 HP 4 Stroke Engine
Several other prizes such as Inflatable Towable tubes, Minnakota Trolling motor, Lowrance Fish Finder, I-pods, fishing rods etc will also have the youths names to be drawled for.
We all know how difficult it is to launch and load their boat with children so this year will see Lund Pro Staffer Craig Salmonson and I on hand to help assist anyone needing help.
